Sushi Chef Wanted

We are seeking a professional Sushi Chef with knowledge of Japanese cuisine. Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients. This includes an understanding of the particularities of handling raw seafood and chemistry of sushi rice preparation. Ability to manage costs for food and labor and to work with and lead by example. 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and assembling high quality sushi dishes with fresh ingredients

  • Ensuring proper presentation

  • Managing inventory

  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace

  • Demonstrating excellent knife skills

  • Accurately slicing fish

  • Consistently cooking sushi rice

  • Effectively communicating with both staff and customers

  • Strict adherence to food safety standards is necessary when handling raw fish

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years previous experience in running and managing a kitchen

  • A through understanding of traditional sushi ingredients, flavors, and methods is essential

  • Maintaining consistency in quality, portion sizes, and presentation is critical.

  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment

  • Interacting

  • with customers and employees, explaining
